Paint Chip Cards

Since I have been gone three out of the past four weekends, I haven't been as crafty lately, so hopefully that will change soon. I have lots of fall things I would like to make for Thanksgiving, and Christmas is my all-time favorite season to make things, so I will definitely share more creations soon.

This past week I wanted to make some cards to say thank you for those who made my birthday special, and I decided to finally try using some of my paint chips that I have collected. I've seen many inspiring ideas on Pinterest, so I did my own interpretation. These paint colors are from Martha Stewart's line.

At first I tried cutting out the colors, but since there were chips on both sides of the pages, I decided to peel off the colors instead so that I could use more of them.

I used double-sided tape to keep them on the cardstock. I've used a glue stick before, but it can get a bit messy with small pieces of paper. I cut some chips into different shapes and played around with colors and shades. Here's how they turned out:

I have a lot more color swatches left, so I will have to come up with something else to do to use those. But for now this has satisfied my creative energy. :)
