Some Weekend Thrifting

This past weekend we went to the season opening of the Fredericktown Flea Market with Matt and Hannah.
This was one of the first things I saw when I walked in, so I had to take a picture for my Dad and for Allison. :)
We didn't really get much there, but I did buy two necklaces for a dollar. They're not fancy or anything, but I like the shapes and colors of the beads.

Matt and Hannah also showed us a second-hand store called ReStore that benefits Habitat for Humanity. They have all kinds of cabinets, sinks, hardware, tiles, lamps, chairs, etc. I found some beautiful floral wallpapers among the not to lovely 1980s wallpaper patterns, and I'm really excited for what I might do with them. I got all three rolls for $3, so I think this might be my find of the year. :) I won't be covering any walls, but I may frame the first one, and I have plans to use the other two for gift packaging and maybe even to make some tape.
I'll post more when I complete some projects.

  1. Oh my goodness! The middle wallpaper looks just like the one in my bedroom growing up except it also had some orange paisleys mixed in there. :) Love your blog, Shelley!

    1. Oh how funny! I thought the pattern looked familiar. I think my parents had some similar-looking sheets, too. :) Glad you're enjoying!
