1. Savoring the final pages of A House of My Own, by Sandra Cisneros; she solidified her place as a my favorite author.
Part of what I loved about this book was getting to know Cisneros as a person and learning more about those who have inspired her. She reminds me that artists find inspiration from without as well as from within; it doesn't all appear from nothing. I purchased this book in a moment when I needed to remember who I am and who I have been. It's a book that created a safe space for me, a home to sit in and rest for a while, and I feel... grateful.
2. Google searching "manatee tail" and "flamingo face."
And researching future felting possibilities.
3. Brainstorming a project to make a dining room light (inspired by a recent update to my studio space - longer post on this in the works).
